Ito napagusapan namin ni Roy..

Swapmeet + Slideshow Contest

Kailangan pang i-polish ang rules at prizes. Pero ito para may idea ang nais sumali..

1. Slideshow of participants. A set of maximum 12 images and minimum of 6 images.

2. All images shot on film. No categories, Any project is ok.

3. No to minimal Post-Process involved.

4. Again. Only still images made on film.

Prizes so far.

1. 100ft Rollei RPX roll

2. 1 year Domain and Hosting from MediaLove.net (500MB space + 25GIG Transfer for 1 year worth 3,000 PHP)

If anyone wants to Pledge for the contest prizes please let me know. Kung may interesadong sumali umpisahan na ang slideshow at ipagbigay alam po muna saken..

Nangangailangan din po tayo ng mga Tables, Chairs at Tent para sa ating event. Kung meron kayo alam na marerentahan ng mga ito ipagbigay alam po saken or kay Jackson Sy.

Mangangailangan din po tayo ng projector para maisakatuparan ang ating Slideshow after ng Swapmeet! Maganda ito pag naisakatuparan! Kaya sali na! Smiley

Pwede rin Jef na gawin nating "One Photo, One Subject" theme kung ka kaunti lang ang may ready projects na pang slide show by September. Na i isip ko na mechanics:

"One Photo, One Theme"

1. The entire photograph should contain the entire theme that the photographer wants to get across
2. No explanation. Just a one word title that conveys the idea behind the photo.
3. Medium entirely on film, traditional process, alternative process (such as but not limited to  gum, palladium, cyano, x ray etc.,) no digital please.
4. no to very minimum post process. if there is post process involved, it should be done via the Dark room process.
5. No name of the photographer during the exhibit.
6. Voting mechanism, im thinking of majority votes via sealed ballot of everyone present in FF at closing time.

Again no theme in order to encourage everyone to join.

Gawin naten yung suggestion ni Roy para marami makasali. We just need to polish the guidelines/mechanics and prices.. Hopefully this week ok na lahat para mapromote na.. Cheesy

4. no to very minimum post process. if there is post process involved, it should be done via the Dark room process. Absolute no post process via light room or photoshop (for scanned images)

5. The photographer's name shall only be known to the organizers. A number will be assigned to the photograph and to the photographer.

6. No specific theme. Can be Street, landscape, still life, nudes, conceptual photography, etc.,

7. Maximum number of entries for any one (1) photographer is three (3) photographs ONLY. Purpose is to see the particular vision of the photographer.

8. Only unpublished photographs are allowed. Photos previously uploaded in any website, Facebook and Instagram included, are automatically disqualified. Unpublished photos which are part of the "baul" of a photographer are welcome as long as it is unpublished and not yet made public.

9. Deadline for entries : two days before the swapmeet.

Mechanics for voting

1. The photographs shall be posted, unframed, in a board or wall in FF, the place to be later assigned. The photographs shall be arranged in ascending numerical order, ie, Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Entry 4, etc.,

2. Each work shall be assigned a particular number in the order in which they were submitted. For example:

If Mark were to submit the first photo, his photo will be Entry 1. Then if Baru were to submit a second and third photo, then his photos will be Entries No. 2 and 3. If Mark would submit another photo after Baru, then his photo will be Entry 4, and so on and so forth.

3. Closing of submission shall be two days prior to the swapmeet. To give us ample time to arrange your photographs you bastards ika nga ng FG.

4. Voting starts as soon as FF opens for the Swapmeet. A ballot box shall be provided for near the food section, sellers section or the beer section (ang mahiwagang coleman ni Atty. Yet) in order to ensure that EVERYONE VOTES.

5. Each person going to the swapmeet shall be entitled to one vote. He can get his sample ballot at the FF on the swapmeet itself, and his arm will be stamped to prove that he got a ballot. (The ballot can be just a simple piece of paper)

6. The person shall write the Entry Number ONLY and drop it at the ballot boxes (shoeboxes) specified.

7. Everyone is encouraged or rather FORCED to vote. Voting starts upon opening and closes at around 7 in the evening.

8. Upon closing of voting, the designated person who will count the votes, shall open all the ballot boxes and count the winner. The one with the most number of votes gets the prize.

7. With the fees for the contest, i suggest a very minimal fee of around Php. 100 to defray labor expenses and merienda... small amount kung makuha mo 100 feet na film diba or free web hosting?

Wala na bang ibang may prizes diyan..  i do hope someone pledges a camera pang prize.... hehehe
